My dressage coach Leasa Stephen – she has bought out the best of me as a rider & has been an incredible mentor for me both in and out of the saddle. I can pick up the phone and ask her about anything; I’m extremely grateful for her level of support.  

I started riding later in life than most; I rode from the age of 12 at a trail riding property north of Brisbane. I learnt a lot there and have lots of cherished memories of just being kids having fun with horses. At 14 I got my first lease horse who eventually became mine; my teenage years were spent doing every discipline in Pony Club. After school I spent a few years in my early 20’s in office type jobs trying to ride as much as I could after hours. I landed a job with Belcam Warmblood Stud in 2016 and that’s we’re I started riding as my career. I learnt a lot; from breaking in, to competing up the grades on lots of different horses. It really helped set myself up when I decided to start own business. Fast forward to now owning Bunya Springs Equestrian; my main focus is now coaching, bringing my own team up the grades eventing & training a couple of client horses. 

Definitely my win of the Greg Grant Up and Coming finals in 2019 with Quizzin Jack. It was the biggest track I had jumped & we were up against 60 of the best horses who’d made it to the finals.  Coming 3rd at Doomben TriEquithon was also a pretty amazing, Jack gave me the best rides all day in the pouring rain on a very tough Cross Country track.

Hopefully we can get our qualifiers for Wallaby Hill this year ; it’s an awesome event. We’d also like to go to Willinga Park for their Three Day Event. 

I love finding groovy new food spots or bars on a weekend off. Catching up with non-horsey friends as much as possible; which can be difficult throughout the comp season.
